A short story about us
In June 2023, after graduating from high schools, Holy Trinity and West Shore, Kiran Shay and Aidan Meyers founded Affordable Tutoring Solutions Inc. What began as informal tutoring sessions quickly evolved into a mission to make quality educational support accessible to all students, regardless of socioeconomic circumstances.
By June 2024, they committed to re-shaping their business structure to address educational disparities in their community. Since then, they have not denied a single client due to financial constraints and have offered countless hours of discounted tutoring.
Now, we are proud to announce the launch of ATS Educational Access Foundation (ATS-EAF), a separate non-profit organization dedicated to expanding educational access beyond traditional boundaries. Through our innovative sliding scale pricing model at ATS, we have already raised thousands of dollars to launch ATS-EAF and our initial programs.
Our Mission
Education is a fundamental right. We democratize learning by providing free, high-quality tutoring and test prep to underserved students while developing future educators through innovative internship programs.
Our Founders
Kiran Shay
Co-Founder, Vice-President, & Secretary
Kiran has over 12 years of personalized tutoring experience, having led numerous study groups for college courses and standardized tests including Linear Algebra & Differential Equations, Organic Chemistry, Economics, and SAT/ACT/MCAT. Kiran focuses on curriculum development, expansion + outreach strategies, and technology implementation.
Aidan Meyers
Co-Founder, President, Treasurer, & Chairman
Aidan has over 8 years of personalized tutoring experience and has designed numerous prep courses for various A.P. classes and standardized tests, including Biology, Statistics, and U.S. History. He developed the curriculum for the new, digital SAT and focuses on curriculum enhancement, hiring processes, and client acquisition. Aidan also serves as the Executive Chairman on our Board of Directors.
